Windows 7 is the latest version of Microsoft Windows, which was released today (Oct. 22, 2009). Unlike windows Vista, Windows 7 includes a number of new features. Some of the new features include big-screen support, Start button search, BitLocker To Go, Document libraries, Nag-free System Tray, Drag and snap windows, Location-aware printing, UAC silencer, and Media streamer playback. Microsoft hopes that this new operating system will gain back many users respect, and gain back their reputation.

Google chrome is googles new operating system. Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. Speed, simplicity and security are the key aspects of Google Chrome OS, and hopefully users will appreciate it. The user interface is minimal to stay out of your way, and most of the user experience takes place on the web. Google chrome seems very promising.

My favourite were the first 2. For it really amazed me how you can create kool pictures with technology. It makes me think that in the future pictures will not be drawn by and, but by computers.

SketchUp is a 3D modeling program designed for architects, civil engineers, filmmakers, game developers, and related professions. It also includes features to facilitate the placement of models in Google Earth. It was designed to be easier to use than other 3D CAD programs. Even though Google sketchup is not used by professionals, it is still a great way for beginners to start and understand how these kind of programs work. It could also be used for to make models of places and such things.

Windows XP is a line of operating systems produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers running x86 and IA-64 processors, including home and business desktops, notebook computers, and media centers. Windows XP uses NTFS (Windows NT File System) as its file system. This operating system is a 64 bit operating system with max RAM of4GB and the max amount of Storage is 4GB. This was first released into the market on October 25, 2001. The average retail price of WINDOWS XP is between $145-$248.

Windows Vista is a line of operating systems developed by Microsoft for use on personal computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, Tablet PCs, and media center PCs. This OS was available from November 8, 2006 with the average retail price is between $199.95-$319.95 Vista also uses NTFS (Windows NT File System) as its file system.  Preferably, this OS is 64 bit with 3 GB RAM and 4 GB storage space.

Ubuntu is a computer operating system based on Debian GNU/Linux. Ubuntu’s goals include providing an up-to-date, stable operating system for the average user, with a strong focus on usability and ease of installation. Hardware management improvements, improved support for display systems, Windows compatibility, Enhanced user interface, Desktop search, and Firefox plugins. Ubuntu uses the NFS (Network File System) as its file system. The system is a 64 bit operating system with 4GB of RAM. It was released April 25 2005 with the average retail price of $745.

Mac OS X is a line of computer operating systems developed, marketed, and sold by Apple Inc., and since 2002 has been included with all new Macintosh computer systems. It is the successor to Mac OS 9, the final release of the “classic” Mac OS, which had been Apple’s primary operating system since 1984. It plugs right into a PC network. On a MacBook or MacBook Pro, it connects to any network automatically. Mac OS X uses HFS (Hierarchical File System) as their  file system. This OS is with 64-bit performance with 512MB of memory and 9GB of disk space. Mac OS X was released on April 25, 2005 and the retail price is $125.

BeOS was positioned as a platform which could be used by a substantial population of desktop users and a competitor to Microsoft Windows and Linux. However, it was ultimately unable to achieve a significant market share and proved commercially unviable for Be Inc. This OS uses BFS (Be File System) as their file system format. It is a 64 bit Operating System and has a maximum RAM of 248MB.This was first released in 1991 with the average retail price between $69.95-99.95

Google Latitude is a new device that lets you find the location of others. Now you can do things like always literally know where your children are, find out if your husband is having an affair, and just plain stalking people.

I think this is an invasion to our privacy. Now we have to live our lives with the thought that we might be being watched. For teens who just want to get away from their parents this is a disaster. This is a dream creation for stalkers, pedofiles, and them parents who must know where their children are, at all times.

Facebook is a great creation. It is fun and exciting. But howerever it has its downs. In facebook it is very easy to discriminate others. Others can post pictures of you, without you even knowing. Just recently facebook changed the fineprint declaring that they own the pictures that you post. Due to many complaints facebook has changed the fineprint back…for now.

Images that are posted of me on the interent will always be there for others to view. Even if they are deleted by me, it will still be there somewhere. This really invades my privacy. It is a picture of me, therfore i should decide what happens to it.

I think that people who are going to be intervied should not be searched on the internet. I think this because on the internet it could show many bad things about that person. It is not fair. People should be intervied in person.

The T-Mobile G1 is the first phone to run the Google Android, the first operating system made by Google.  It has it’s own marketplace, rivaling the iTunes app store.  It features a slide out keyboard, and a large screen that is bright, but does not use very much power.  THe phone can easily handle demanding graphical applications like Google Earth or Google Maps.  Also, like the iPhone, it features a web browser and music and video playback. 

 The Blackberry storm is a smartphonedeveloped by Research in Motion (RIM). It is part of the 9500 series of phones. It is RIM’s first touchscreen device and first device without a physical keyboard and will feature a touchscreen which reacts physically like a button via SurePress, a Research in Motion patented technology of providing haptic feedback. It will be available through Vodafone in the UK, Ireland and Australia, Verizon Wireless in the United States, Telus and Bell in Canada. The Blackberry storm was the first touchscreen Blackberry to be released. Now with the introduction of the storm, Blackberry is capable of competing in the ongoing phone market. Touchscreen phones are the newest phones to come out and is known to youth as the “in” thing. The BlackBerry Storm is a world-phone, and one to be seriously considered in the new year of 2009.

One piece of technology that I think will be reall amazing for 2009 is the dawn of USB 3.0. As of today, almost everything is connected by USB 2.0, which is the fastest way to transfer data… until now! USB 3.0 boasts that it can transfer with speeds up to 4.8GB/s.  That means an entire DVD5 can be transferred in ONE SECOND.

The new USB technology will be available sometime in 2009, and was recently announced on November 17, 2008.  Version 1.0 of this new hardware has already been completed.  The major new feature is the SUperSpeed Bus, allowing for transfer rates of up to 5GB/s.  Another plus is that USB 3.0 will be compatible with all USB 2.0 and 1.0 devices.

Technology is a crucial part of human ife. Many people use technology to get fame and glory. In the election campain both Obama and McCain used technology. The difference between the two is that Obama used technology more effitiantly than McCain.

Obama advertisement is known is many sites such as facebook, myspace, youtube, asain ave, black planet and much more. His website has much more flare, that would catch the eyes of young voters. Obama has lots of merchandise and actually responds to all people who have donated for him. Most of new young voters use technology, and Obama is getting their votes by using technology young voters use. Unlike McCain, Obama reaches out more to the young voters.

McCain in the other and has his website in a very minimal way. He does not use technology at hand, and does not take advantage of sites such as youtube, and myspace. Not using the technology at hand means that he might not recieve the votes from young voters, unlike Obama who takes the advantage from technology. At this rate McCain will only recieve votes from the old people who do not use modern technology. McCain’s website is very old fasioned and he does not reach out more the the young voters as Obama does.

In all i think that using modern technology to support your campaign is a very inquisitive idea. With all these young voters using modern technology, they want a president that understands and use’s the same piece as technology as them. Obama has taken the advantage over McCain because he use’s the technology young voters do, unlike McCain that does not.
